Overview
Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist
Location: 1400 Hand Ave, Ste Q, Ormond Beach, FL 32174
Schedule: Part Time Mon - Fri
Compensation: Starting at $45+/hr. Hourly rate calculated by experience.
Select Physical Therapy is seeking a part- time Occupational Therapist to treat various upper extremity disorders ranging from tendinopathies, post-operative fractures, tendons, and more. We are seeking a hand therapist who has basic skills with custom splinting. Recent graduates with a hand intensive level II internship will be considered. The Occupational Therapist will be working with our regional hand therapy coordinator to ensure you have what you need for growth and success.
Our locations are fully equipped to provide care to patients ranging from post surgical, non-operative to work conditioning. You will have the opportunity to work closely with excellent hand surgeons. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.
  • Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited school of Occupational Therapy and state OT License required
  • Experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedics is required
  • Occupational Therapists with a minimum of 1+ yr recent hand therapy experience. In leiu of experience, recent Occupational Therapist graduates with level 2 fieldwork in hand therapy
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Valid driver's license
