Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Nutrition Services Van driver will manage the products, vehicles, and routes assigned to them. Every day the driver is expected to execute the loading and unloading of van in an efficient and accurate manner. Drivers are then expected to run their assigned route to include unloading products in designated areas. The driver is required to conduct basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues. This position requires physical effort as well as the usage of high-level customer service and communication skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Drive and deliver orders to sites within a specific time frame using a Sprinter Delivery Van.
  • Unload product from van in designated areas according to customer directions
  • Maintain all posted TN Dept. of Transportation Laws
  • All other duties as assigned, including non-driving tasks within the warehouse and production facility

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to perform manual lifting of heavy items over 50 pounds and be skilled in the usage of 2-wheel dollies.
  • Ability to manage frequent stops and navigate local area with ease
  • Ability to drive safely and work efficiently during inclement weather conditions
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Proficient in the usage of smartphones and navigation apps
  • Able to pass a Tennessee Motor Vehicle Report

WORK SCHEDULE: Work schedules may vary based on daily workload, but typical hours are Monday - Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention.
  • Ability to perform tasks that are repetitive
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with the usage of 2-wheel dollies
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and give consistent and accurate product
  • Be required to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions
