Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in cyber security or related field; PLUS demonstrated three years of full-time cyber security work experience.
- Cyber security proficiency in the areas of virtualization, basic networking, cyber defense, or intrusion detection.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's Degree in a related field and five years experience in Cyber Defense, particularly in the areas of computer forensics, intrusion detection, incident response and handling, and the Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with Cyber Defense Network Infrastructure, SEIM implementation, and/or the use of Splunk, Snort, or YARA applications.
- Current industry certifications to include CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE, Cisco, or Splunk.
- Teaching experience is a plus. +
- A desire for lifelong learning and to maintain awareness of current cybersecurity industry trends.
