Job description

FULL TIME & PART TIME CASELOADS
Apex Therapeutic Services is seeking full-time and part-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP or CFY) interested in providing school-based speech therapy services to students being served by Island Trees UFSD

Responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School Setting
· The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - will work with students exhibiting the full range of communication disorders, including those involving language, articulation (speech sound disorders), fluency, voice/resonance, and swallowing.
· Assessment of each student's disabilities having an impact on the education of students; then plan to address personal, social/emotional, academic, and vocational needs that have an impact on the attainment of each student's individual educational goals.
· Contribute to the literacy achievement of students with communication disorders, including students who are at risk for school failure, or those who may struggle in the school setting.
· Supporting the needs of students with significant challenges, helping to determine methods for alternate learning.
· The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will be helping to identify long-term goals for appropriate post-school outcomes.
· Helping to plan relevant instructional activities for ongoing implementation in the classroom.

Requirements of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School Setting
Must be a registered/licensed or pursuing a license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York state. Must have TSSLD, and Certificate of Clinical Competency
