Job Title: Community & Social Media Coordinator
Department: Marketing

Reports To: Management
Position Summary
The Community & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing and activating Gold's Gym PNW social media presence, representing 7 franchisee-owned locations. This role drives local and regional engagement, awareness, and participation by promoting local events, offers, campaigns, and storytelling opportunities through consistent, on-brand content.
Instagram serves as the primary platform, with TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, Google, and other platforms as additional channels. The role focuses on elevating events, promotions, member and trainer highlights, website management, in gym marketing, member marketing utilizing our club and lead management software, and key gym activations including coverage for each location.
This role works closely with management to ensure content is strategic, timely, and aligned with brand standards. Branded content creation using approved Canva templates is foundational to the role, supported by selective in-gym photo and video capture tied to campaign priorities.
This position is ideal for a reliable, creator-minded self-starter with 1 to 2 years of social media experience who enjoys managing local pages, creating content, and building strong community connections through social media.
Roles & Responsibilities
Social Profile Management
  • Maintain an active, up-to-date social media presence that promotes gym offers, events, programs, and community moments across the Gold's Gym PNW locations.
  • Ensure social content is timely, accurate, and aligned with Gold's Gym Brand standards.
  • Organize and maintain social media channels and Instagram Highlights for all 7 gym locations.

Branded Content Creation
  • Create on-brand social assets using Canva templates approved by Brand Social to support local promotions, campaigns, and announcements.
  • Customize branded assets for distribution while maintaining consistency with national brand guidelines.
  • Support promotional storytelling that elevates trainers, members, and community initiatives.

Original Content Capture
  • Capture photo and short-form video content at assigned Gold's Gym locations to support regional storytelling and campaign priorities.
  • Support social coverage of key gym events, activations, and community initiatives in partnership with gym management.
  • Leverage brand provided content when applicable to maximize efficiency.

Social Publishing & Engagement
  • Publish approved content across all social platforms, primarily Instagram, Facebook, Google, and TikTok.
  • Monitor and engage with comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, brand-appropriate manner.
  • Escalate customer care inquiries, facility issues, or sensitive conversations to appropriate internal teams.
  • Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, brand-appropriate manner.
  • Respond to review in timely, brand-appropriate manner.
  • Support influencer and creator engagement through tagging, reposting, and interactive community touchpoints.
  • Manage website content, working with our team and the Brand to ensure information is current, accurate and relevant.

Community Outreach & Collaboration
  • Engage with local members, partners, and community accounts to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Work closely with General Managers, and Brand Social to support event promotion, activations, local and regional initiatives.
  • Share basic engagement insights and content learnings from each location and region.
  • Maintain organized content files and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in social media, content creation, or community management. Internship or freelance experience accepted.
  • Experience managing social media profiles, with emphasis on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Strong experience creating branded social assets using Canva.
  • Familiarity with social media management and publishing tools.
  • Experience editing short-form video using tools.
  • Comfortable capturing photo and video content on an iPhone or other mobile device
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to match brand voice and tone.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Willing and able to travel within the assigned region based on campaign and activation priorities.
  • Passion for fitness, community, and local engagement is a plus.
