Schedule: Evening shift, typically 4:30PM-11PM (varies depending on ski volume)
Status: Part-Time, Seasonal
As a part-time Ski Tuner, you'll join our evening crew to help deliver high-quality overnight ski tunes. This role is a great fit for those who have some ski tuning experience or hands-on mechanical ability and want to be a part of a supportive shop environment during the winter season.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect skis for damage and tuning needs; flag safety concerns
- Sharpen edges using proper tuning tools
- Repair bases ranging from minor scratches to core shots and compressions
- Grind bases flat and apply structure as appropriate for snow conditions
- Wax skis for performance and longevity
- Check bindings for safe function and accurate DIN settings
- Maintain tuning tools and machinery
- Keep an organized workspace and assist with general upkeep
- Support the team and communicate clearly with coworkers and, when needed, customers
Qualifications
- Ski tuning experience preferred, but willing to train the right mechanically inclined candidate
- Basic understanding of ski components and snow performance
- Physically able to stand and lift skis for extended periods
- Comfortable working evenings
- Team-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work independently
