Job description

Overview

In 1947, Everett Kircher purchased the first forty acres of what would become Boyne Mountain for just one dollar; a leap into completely new territory that grew into the resort we know today. Forty Acres Tavern celebrates that spirit, serving up elevated pub fare, craft beers, and a lively, slopeside atmosphere where guests come to refuel after a day on the mountain and stick around for the good time. With a packed house many days of the year, the Host stand is one of the busiest, and most important, spots in the building.
As a Host, you're the first face guests see when they walk through the door, and the energy you bring sets the tone for their entire visit. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in making every guest feel welcome. Everything we do at Boyne Mountain is guided by our core values — L.E.A.D.S.: Long-Term Thinking, Excellence in Execution, Attitude is Everything, Develop Great People, and Serve First. You'll be living those values every single shift.

As a Boyne Mountain team member, you'll also enjoy ski passes, golf passes, waterpark passes, and discounts on food, beverages, retail, daycare, and much more! To learn more about Boyne Mountain Resort, employment perks, and employee testimonials, click here -  Boyne Mountain Employment!

Attitude is Everything - Answer phones, take to-go orders, and handle guest inquiries with professionalism and a friendly, can-do attitude, whether it's a quiet weekday afternoon or a packed Saturday with a line out the door.
Serve First - Greet and seat guests with genuine warmth and attentiveness, answer questions, and make every person who walks through the door feel like Forty Acres is exactly where they want to be.
• Assist servers, bartenders, and cooks with various tasks as needed, step in to bus tables, and help keep the restaurant stocked and running throughout your shift.
• Deliver room service and spa orders as assigned.
