Sparta R-III School is currently accepting applications for a part-time food service employee. Hours are 7:30-1:30 - 6 hours per day.

JOB GOAL: To prepare and serve attractive and nutritious meals through the districts food service program.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2. Experience in Large Scale Food Production (Preferred)
3. Good Physical Condition
4. Valid Missouri Driver's License
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assists in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
  2. Assumes responsibility for regularly replenishing food supply offered during service periods.
  3. Assists in the daily clean-up of the kitchen and service areas.
  4. Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the food service supervisor.
  5. Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods
  6. Occasionally prepare and serve meals outside of the regular school day for special events.
  7. Frequent standing, walking, gripping, bending and twisting.
  8. Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching.
  9. Frequently lift ten pounds and occasionally lift up to fifty pounds.
  10. Consistent and regular attendance is essential for this position.
  11. Performs all duties in accordance with federal, state and local safety standards.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, BONDING, AND/OR TESTING REQUIRED:
1. Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work week to be determined by the Board of Education and Superintendent.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy of support services personnel.
