As a Bluegrass Care Navigators' Hospice Team member, you will be a part of a team providing care and support to patients and their families who no longer receive treatments to cure their terminal illness but instead choose care to improve their comfort and quality of life. Our service allows our team members to focus on one patient at a time providing care where the patient calls home. While this often is a house or apartment, we also provide care at nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. If a patient's care needs are too complicated for home care or require a higher level of attention from nurses and other experts, we can provide care at one of our Hospice Care Centers.

Schedule: 2X12s 7:00pm-7:00am, rotating weekends and holidays
Position Summary:
The Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled, professional, and compassionate nursing care to patients and their families within the inpatient hospice unit and hospital settings. The RN delivers care in accordance with physician orders, the hospice plan of care, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, including symptom management, end-of-life support, and patient/family education.
Position Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional (registered) nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of two (2) years of general nursing experience preferred; hospice, home health, medical-surgical, or critical care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in pain management; IV therapy skills preferred.
• Demonstrates clinical competence and the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations with patients and families while respecting diverse lifestyles and beliefs.
• Maintains current CPR certification
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently while exercising appropriate judgment.
