Minimum Qualifications:

  • Referrals for this position will primarily come from family members.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • For vehicle drivers: Valid and clean New York State driverโ€™s license, own vehicle with proof of insurance, registration, and inspection.
  • For non-vehicle drivers: Valid New York State ID card.
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer use.
  • Smartphone required.

Benefits:

Part-time employees are eligible for the 403(B) retirement plan and New York State Sick Leave.

Pay: Hourly (pay varies)

What You Will Do:

  • Empower independence: Provide meaningful instructions to individuals, helping them develop skills for living independently, including activities of daily living, personal care, health care, community inclusion, relationship building, social and leisure skills, accessing community services, and independent community travel.
  • Encourage goal setting: Inspire individuals to identify and pursue their potential outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication: Assist individuals in effectively communicating with outside entities such as Care Managers, vendors, doctors, employment specialists, landlords, and more.
  • Support community participation: Offer the necessary training and support for individuals to actively participate in their community.

Work Locations: Nassau and Suffolk County, NY

Work Hours/Schedule: Part-time, flexible
