As an Armed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and critical operations. You will provide professional customer service, clear communication, and timely response to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $25.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other designated utility infrastructure areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and unusual conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
