Job Description:
SUMMARY
Works directly with students, either in one-on-one or small groups to provide academic tutorial assistance, helping students become independent learners that persevere and reach their academic goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supports the department's goal of providing students with supplemental academic support by:
โ€ข Provides one-on-one and small group tutoring support
โ€ข Provides subject-specific content strategies, attuned to different learning styles and preferences, to help students understand key concepts learned in class
โ€ข Provides direct assistance in the use of equipment and learning materials needed for student's success
โ€ข Conducts "class visits" and assists with publicizing the College's tutoring services
โ€ข Assists with the maintenance of accurate records in accordance to stated deadlines
โ€ข Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and according to stated deadlines
โ€ข Assists with the development and maintenance of departmental instructional materials
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned
