Position Summary

Assistant Teacher and help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for school-age children before and after school and during other school closures. This role offers a great opportunity to build experience working with youth while developing general leadership skills.
Pay & Schedule
- Starting Pay: $15.00/hour
- Consistent weekday schedule
- School Year - Monday-Friday, 6:30-9:00 AM and 3-5:45 PM
- Summer - Hours will vary based on program needs
- Potential for additional hours during school breaks

What You'll Do
As an Assistant Teacher, you'll play an important role in creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for school-aged children. You'll partner with other teachers to make each day engaging, structured, and meaningful.
In this role, you will:
• Help lead fun, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences that keep kids engaged and learning
• Support children's social, emotional, and physical development
• Supervise children to ensure a safe environment at all times
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Help keep the classroom organized, clean, and ready for learning
• Use positive guidance to encourage good behavior and problem-solving
• Support daily routines like snacks, hygiene, and transitions

Requirements
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you should:
• Be at least
16 years old
• Have a high school diploma/GED (or be working toward one)
• Have
1 year of childcare experience (preferred), not required - we're happy to train the right person!
• Have reliable transportation and a strong commitment to being on time
• Feel confident interacting with children and communicating with parents
• Be willing to complete required training once hired (CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)
• Be able to stay active throughout your shift, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
