Job SummaryThe Part-Time School Nurse at Ste. Genevieve Du Bois Catholic School in Warson Woods is responsible for supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of students in a faith-centered environment. The nurse promotes student health and safety, provides basic medical care, and helps ensure a healthy school community aligned with Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities- Provide direct care to students, including first aid, illness assessment, and emergency response
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
- Monitor student immunization compliance and health requirements
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student health needs throughout the school day
- Develop and implement health care plans for students with chronic conditions
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and Archdiocesan health guidelines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized health office
Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Missouri
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
