Employment Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Transportation Director
Overview:
The Tipton School District is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school and/or extracurricular activities. The Bus Driver ensures the safe, timely, and efficient operation of the school bus while maintaining a positive and professional environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe Transportation: Operate a school bus in accordance with established routes, schedules, and traffic regulations to transport students safely to and from school, field trips, and other district-approved activities.
  • Student Supervision: Maintain order and discipline among students on the bus, ensuring a safe and respectful environment. Address behavioral issues in accordance with district policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the Transportation Supervisor promptly.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as Tipton School District policies and procedures, including those related to student safety and transportation.
