Transition to Operations Specialist, Lead
The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big-picture thinking to make an impact in modernizing position, navigation, and timing (PNT) systems? You understand your customers' environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.
As a Transition to Operations Specialist on our team, you have the opportunity to support the design and implementation of space-based systems to deliver resilient, affordable, and sustainable space capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize Global Positioning Systems (GPS). You'll sharpen your skills in developing and acquiring space systems while gaining experience delivering sustained, reliable GPS capabilities to America's warfighters, our allies, and civil users. You'll grow your skills by merging space vehicle development and acquisition to develop client solutions, assess technical designs, and test systems. You'll help turn requirements into accomplishments that drive change.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience in DoD acquisition life cycle management or operations per Integrated Life Cycle Management
  • Experience in planning and execution of DoD acquisition life cycle transition to Operations and Support phase, including IOC and FOC milestone achievements
  • Experience in planning and execution of DoD acquisition life cycle Logistics and Sustainment activities
  • Experience in developing integrated plans and schedules, developing decision briefings, managing givers or receivers, and managing risks for space programs
  • Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional team meetings and task execution across systems engineering and integration activities
  • Ability to be highly motivated, display a dynamic work ethic, and contribute to the DoD mission
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish collaborative relationships with government clients and contractor teammates
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience in DoD acquisition life cycle management or operations per Integrated Life Cycle Management
  • Experience in developing and implementing a Product Support strategy and sustainment support contracts
  • Experience in satellite operations
  • Experience with collaboration tools, including Confluence or Jira
  • Experience with technical writing in program or systems engineering documentation
  • Knowledge of GPS space, ground, or user segment
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
