Description:

The part-time Safety Associate is responsible for the safe and sanitary distribution of food from our Sandwich Line. The ideal candidate works closely and amicably with staff, volunteers and guests to achieve a welcoming and clean environment with appropriate boundaries so that everyone can enjoy a meal given in the spirit of St. Elizabeth of Hungary.


Weekend Position open: 9am - 12pm Saturday and Sunday

Requirements:

Heart for those experiencing homelessness; understands the complex issues facing those on the street.

Ability to understand and implement Department of Health requirements for food preparation and distribution.

Ability to recognize and diffuse aggravated behaviors; ability to recognize potentially harmful situations and call police.

Ability to lift 30 - 50 pounds.

Willingness and ability to withstand the elements for the period of time we serve food outside to those on our Sandwich Line.

Bi-lingual in Spanish and English a plus.
