Summary of Position
Teach studio art classes in one or more of the following: visual foundations, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, painting, digital media, photography, and graphic design. Must be available to meet with students outside of class contact times.
The Department of Art includes 8 full-time faculty and 10 part-time faculty and enrolls approximately 250 art majors. The vibrant and progressive NASAD accredited department offers a comprehensive undergraduate program in Studio Art and Art Education.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications: At least a Master of Fine Arts degree in any visual art discipline. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience.
Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other Sedentary criteria aremet.
