THE SKATESIDE is looking for energetic, reliable, and positive individuals to join our team as After School Counselors. This role focuses on working with kids through skateboarding and roller skating programs that build confidence, resilience, and community.
Position Overview
Part-time position with shifts typically ranging from 23 hours per day. Hours vary based on availability and program needs.
Locations
Santa Monica
South Los Angeles
Culver City
Schedule
Monday through Friday: 1:30 PM 5:00 PM (varies by site)
Weekend shifts available: 9:00 AM 12:00 PM
What Youll Do
Lead and support skateboarding and roller skating sessions for kids
Create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment
Help students build confidence, coordination, and social skills
Maintain structure and positive group energy
Communicate professionally with staff and families
What Were Looking For
Great personality with kids patient, engaging, and positive
Strong reliability and timeliness (non-negotiable)
Team player with a willingness to learn
Comfortable working outdoors and staying active
Reliable transportation strongly preferred
No Experience Needed
No skateboarding or roller skating experience required we will train you.
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent required
Background Check (required)
Mandated Reporter Training (required)
TB Test (required)
Preferred (Not Required)
Some college or experience working with youth
Interest in skateboarding, roller skating, or youth programs
