Job Summary
The Department of Computer Science is looking for a dedicated Temporary Researcher to independently lead and contribute to research projects in the areas of perception, machine learning, and robotics. This is a part-time, temporary position for less than 12 months at 32 hours per week, with an anticipated start in Fall 2026 (August). The successful candidate will be instrumental in advancing the scientific goals of the Autonomous Robotics and Perception Group at CU Boulder.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Lead and conduct research projects in the areas of perception, machine learning, and robotics.
- Analyze, interpret, and present data and research findings to the team and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the writing and publishing of research papers and reports.
- Collaborate with fellow researchers and faculty within the group.
- Assist in preparing research proposals and securing funding.
What You Should Know
- This is a temporary, part-time role with a duration of less than 12 months.
- The role requires a commitment of 32 hours per week.
- There may be occasional requirements to work outside of standard business hours for important meetings or deadlines.
- Given the ever-evolving nature of the field, continuous learning and staying updated on recent advancements will be necessary.
What We Can Offer
The hire rate for this position will be $35.00 per hour, working 32 hours per week.

What We Require
- A Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrable experience in the fields of perception, machine learning, and robotics.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and C++.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and their applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Prior experience leading research projects or teams.
- A publication record in relevant fields.
- Experience with grant writing and securing research funding.
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art robot perception and learning techniques.
