      • Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
      • Proficiency in a variety of anesthesia techniques, including regional blocks.
      • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
      • Degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program.
      • Obtain a New Hampshire RN and APRN License.
      • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
      • Current certification or recertification from AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor.

  • PART TWO: FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY
    • Position Objective
    • Performance Expectation
        1. Administers anesthesia and blocks for surgical procedures and endoscopic procedures when needed for a given procedure or operation;
        2. Accompanies patient to Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and remains until patient's immediate condition warrants leaving them with PACU personnel;
        3. Performs narcotic count;
        4. Does pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits; Writes post-anesthesia note on designated anesthesia record in EMR;
        5. Responds to patient resuscitation calls when able and when it is not at the detriment of a patient currently under their care;
        6. Ensures that all patient inquiries are answered with courtesy and promptness;
        7. offers assistance to staff, as appropriate and within scope of practice;
        8. Consistently found assisting patients/families and other visitors, always ensuring all interactions with APD create a positive reflection on our facility;
        9. Promotes a warm and welcoming environment, in and outside of home department and role;
        10. Offers ideas for improving the patient/family experience;
        11. Proactively addressing potential concerns/questions;
        12. Incorporates patient, family, and caregiver as defined by the patient and other team members when planning service delivery;
        13. Demonstrates behavior that creates an atmosphere of respect for human differences, beliefs, values and the uniqueness of each person encountered;
        14. Partners with patients and families to allow for effective decisions and participation in care;
