Overview

4-Medical is a 27-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit that cares for a diverse patient population, with a focus on gastrointestinal illnesses and diabetes management. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse who is passionate about patient-centered care and eager to join a collaborative healthcare team that includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Nurse Externs. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and clinical excellence are valued every day.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately in accordance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to ensure effective care coordination.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
  • Educate patients and families regarding conditions, procedures, and ongoing care needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
  • Valid NC RN license or Compact State RN license required
  • BCLS required
  • One year of experience in medical-surgical nursing (preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays
