How you make a difference

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse(s), directs and guides patient teaching and activities that commensurate with his/her education and demonstrated competencies. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assessment and planning of individual treatment programs for patients, consulting with relevant staff members as needed. 
  • Implement individualized treatment programs as directed by Health Care Practitioner, administering medications and obtaining diagnostic tests in accordance with orders and protocols. 
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols, including proper safety techniques, procedures and standard precautions. 
  • Respond to patient crises as set forth by site policy and procedure, and assist Health Care Practitioner in medical procedures as necessary. 
  • Document nursing encounters using SOAP form of charting, attend mandatory staff meetings and training, and communicate information to relevant staff members as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

  • Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
