This contract opportunity is for a part-time Registered Nurse to assist a 4-year-old student who requires oxygen during school hours. With consistent weekly hours and the chance to employ your specialized nursing skills, this role offers an engaging and rewarding experience in a supportive educational environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required)
  • Prior experience in school nursing (required)
  • Critical care experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to support a young student with medical needs, including oxygen administration
  • Strong communication and reassurance skills when working with young children
  • No LPNs accepted for this position
  • Resume and proof of licensure/certification must accompany any application

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing 1:1 direct care for a 4-year-old student requiring oxygen
  • Supervising, monitoring, and documenting the student’s medical status during classroom hours
  • Collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure a safe, supportive environment
  • Administering routine and emergency nursing procedures as necessary
  • Responding promptly and effectively to any health-related incidents
  • Maintaining professional records and following school health protocols
