What We Offer
Novant Health Elizabeth Pediatrics is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse!
Work Schedule: Four days per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with 1-2 Saturdays per month from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.
Join our pediatric clinic in a hands-on, direct patient care role where you'll support children and families in a compassionate, fast-paced environment. In this position, you'll work closely with providers to ensure a positive experience for young patients, from rooming and obtaining vitals to in-basket management and triaging patients.
Key responsibilities include administering vaccines, performing lab tests, and conducting nurse visits such as weight checks and follow-ups. You'll also play an important role in care coordination by managing prior authorizations, handling in-basket communications, and triaging patient needs to ensure timely support.
The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
What You'll Do
Job responsibilities include:
  • Room patients, take vitals, and document medical history
  • Assist providers during visits and support in-office procedures
  • Administer vaccines and perform lab testing
  • Manage prior authorizations, in-basket messages, and patient communications
  • Conduct nurse visits and triage patient concerns

What We're Looking For
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current RN license in appropriate state, required.
    • ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT; preferred.
