Job Description

The Cardiology II department at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association is in need of a part-time Registered Nurse to join their growing team. The Registered Nurse plays a key role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the well-being of patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers treatment and medication under the instructions of the physicians.
  • Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to the patients and their families and educates them on disease management, special diet, infection control procedures, and self-care
  • Must be a team player
  • Collaborates with physicians to create plan of care
  • Maintains patients records of symptoms and progress
  • Tracks and maintains medical supplies and inventory logs
  • Takes and records vital signs, medical history, or other relevant information.
  • Collects specimens and performs basic testing and diagnostics.
  • Schedules procedures or advanced tests.
  • Prepares patient for examination or treatment by the physician.
  • Audits clinic inventory and orders supplies as needed.
  • Assists patients with obtaining referrals and making appointments for specialists.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in a particular clinical area.
