Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

  • 1-2 years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $13,000
  • 3-4 years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $15,000
  • 5+ years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $20,000
  • Education Assistance:
    • Up to $20,000 Loan Forgiveness for new grad nurses
    • Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 per year
  • Weekend Differential
  • Shift Differential for qualifying hours between 3pm-7am
  • Weekend Option Days: WEO rates + weekend differential
  • Weekend Option Nights: WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential
  • New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $10.00 RN
  • Day-One comprehensive medical, dental & vision insurance

 Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • Physical requirements/demands:
    • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis  
    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift      
    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

 Unit Information:7B- We offer an immense selection of experiences through our management of complex diagnoses and patient needs with many learning opportunities.  This environment provides a strong foundation in nursing and clinical skills.  The unit serves the medical surgical population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases.  The types of patients we serve are those with multi-system management needs such as infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastro-intestinal conditions, and post-surgical patients.  We also coordinate management of patients needing surgical interventions, EGD, colonoscopy, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies.
