Job description

Over The Mountain Pediatrics
Work schedule will be Part-time, Benefitted, .6 FTE, Day Shift, 3 days per week and occasional Saturdays.
Summary
Triage patients and assist physicians as needed.
Responsibilities
Administer immunizations, antibiotics, allergy shots and oral medications.
Assist with traumas, clean and prepare wounds for treatment.
Administer Nebulilzer treatments for asthma patients.
Perform catheterizations and IV therapy.
Perform x-rays, file x-rays and perform selective lab work when ordered by physician.
Perform audio, visual tests and tympanograms when needed.
Triage patient calls to determine if they need to be seen or can medication be prescribed, based on doctor's approval.
Fill out forms needed by patients for daycare, schools, college, WIC forms, etc.
Transfer information to charts, during patient calls, phone reports, and inform the physician of report.
Call in prescriptions for patients that have called in for advice and medication.
Make appointments for patients to receive lab work, x-rays, and to other doctors and or specialists, outside of our practice. After appointments are made, determine whether a referral is needed. If so, forward chart to the insurance department.
Assist doctor's assistants when necessary to prepare patient for the physician's examination.
Make referrals and precertifications to all Health Plans.
Assist with patient education, i.e., Asthma and Diabetes.
Order supplies and medications.
Performs other duties as required.
Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
* Basic Life Support
Essential:
* Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing
