Job Summary and Qualifications


The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, acting as an advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Exhibit knowledge of human growth and development, treatment assessment, and patient care appropriate to the age groups served.

  • Encourage customer service initiatives aligned with our service values.

  • Engage in behaviors that fully support positive customer service experiences.

  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately.

  • Utilize the Nursing Process to provide individualized care that meets patient needs.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in performing technical skills and procedures.

  • Promote adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.

  • Assess patient conditions upon admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.

  • Carry out procedures as directed by the medical provider.

  • Document care administration in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.

  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.

  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical care.


Qualifications:


  • Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or an appropriate compact state.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
