Job description

What We Offer:

The Radiologic Technologist I works independently and/or assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the ambulatory setting.

Location: Greenville, South Carolina

Hours: [Part Time] 2.5 days per week, Monday through Friday, with working hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Specific days will be determined based on departmental needs. 

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
  • Experience: One year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R) Required NH Medical Group Office Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R), required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
  • Additional Skills (preferred):
    • NH MedicalRegistry-eligible in Radiography by ARRT
    • Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(required) within 6 months of hire
    • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will contribute to our growing radiology team by:

  • Performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
  • Preparing and positioning patients for exams while ensuring their comfort, safety, and understanding of the procedure.
  • Verifying patient identity, clinical history, allergies, and informed consent prior to imaging procedures.
  • Producing high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation safety standards and ALARA principles.
  • Administering contrast media and performing venipuncture within scope of practice and established guidelines.
  • Monitoring patients throughout procedures and responding appropriately to patient needs.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation within EMR, RIS, and PACS systems.
  • Supporting quality, safety, and compliance initiatives while adhering to Novant Health's "First Do No Harm" philosophy.
