Job Overview
We are seeking a highly adaptable and detail-oriented Lead Field Technician & Operational Intelligence Analyst who combines hands-on technical expertise with a strong understanding of operational workflows and process design. This role is responsible for leading the deployment of operational intelligence solutions, including RFID, access management, and connected worker technologies.

The ideal candidate will also possess a strong understanding of both hardware and software systems, similar to a field technician, enabling them to support system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting in real-world environments. This position requires the ability to assess environments, understand how work is actually performed, and translate that into effective system setup and execution while maintaining client confidentiality. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between field operations and technology, directly impacting performance, safety, compliance, and overall operational success. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in RFID, access control, IoT, asset tracking, or related operational technology deployments
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading field teams or managing onsite technical implementations
  • Lead and execute onsite deployments, including asset tagging, access configuration, and connected worker setup
  • Assess environments, document workflows, and tailor system configurations to align with operations and compliance requirements
  • Configure, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems in real time
  • Ensure accuracy of data capture, asset tracking, and access control systems
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact and guide field technicians during deployments
  • Train personnel and support integration into operational platforms and dashboards
  • Maintain clear documentation including system configurations, asset logs, and workflow mapping
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows and ability to adapt across industries
  • Hands-on experience with hardware such as scanners, sensors, wearables, and mobile devices
  • Proficiency with software tools, mobile platforms, and data systems
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, travel as needed, and perform in fast paced field environments
  • Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and the ability to translate real world operations into effective technical solutions

Experience Preferences

  • Experience working in industrial, construction, utilities, logistics, or public safety environments
  • Familiarity with workforce safety systems, compliance tracking, and incident response technologies
  • Experience with system integrations, APIs, or connecting data into dashboards and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of access management protocols, credentialing systems, or identity verification processes
  • Background in process improvement, operations management, or workflow optimization
  • Experience deploying solutions across multiple sites or large-scale operations
  • Technical certifications or training in relevant fields (RFID, networking, IoT, or systems integration)
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans, operational layouts, or facility schematics
  • Experience working in client-facing roles with a high level of professionalism and discretion

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel frequently to various job sites and work in diverse environments
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around job sites for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs (RFID equipment, tools, hardware, etc.)
  • Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate uneven terrain when required
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform hands-on installation tasks
  • Manual dexterity to handle small components such as RFID tags, scanners, and wiring
  • Ability to work in active operational environments such as industrial sites, yards, or facilities
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety vests, helmets, gloves, and safety glasses
  • Capability to safely operate basic tools and equipment used during installations

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical training, trade school certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field
  • Relevant experience in lieu of formal education will be considered

Education Preferences

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Operations Management
  • Coursework or training in RFID, IoT, access control systems, or related technologies
  • Certifications in technical or operational disciplines such as CompTIA, networking, systems integration, or similar
  • Training or certifications related to safety, compliance, or field operations (OSHA or equivalent)
