Job description

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operationsis responsible forperforming/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Shift Time: Monday to Thursday/4PM - 9:30PM

(Note:Training Schedule May Differ)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, and state/local authorities; adherence to cGMP guidelines

  • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.

  • Readily learns and appliesnew informationand methods to work in assigned area

  • Maintainsappropriate licenses,training,and certifications.

  • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.

  • Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.

  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to process orders includingaccuratepicking, performing quality control checks, and sorting.

  • Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks,maintaininga clean work environment including complying with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

  • Performs other duties and/orparticipatesin projects as assigned by your manager or other management team member.

What is expected of you for success in your role:

Demonstrates working knowledge orproficiencyin one or more assigned areas of responsibility:

  • May also require material handling equipment certification

  • Accurately performs multiple operational tasks assigned to the individual

  • Demonstrates basic material handling/ packaging /warehouse equipment skills

  • Performs one or more warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility

  • Demonstrates effective oral communication skills

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • 1 - 2 years related experience preferred

  • Radiofrequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred

  • Ability to consistently lift 40Ibsand be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift

  • Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice

  • Willingness to learn tooperatematerial handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse

  • Willingness to work in refer 36-42forfull shift
