  • Responsible for greeting all bank customers, as they enter the branch, in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Operate a teller window to process a variety of transactions within established guidelines, such as processing individual and commercial deposits, savings and checking transactions, cash advances, loan payments, credit card payments and other transactions.
  • Enter customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.
  • Assist customers with questions regarding their accounts; Place holds on accounts, as appropriate.
  • Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash; Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer and compare totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
  • Participate in maintaining good customer relations by giving courteous, efficient service and developing new business by acquainting non-customers with bank services and presenting current customers with additional services; Identify and respond to these cross-sale opportunities by referring customers to the appropriate bank personnel.
  • Record customer interactions in the bank's CRM platform.

Education and/or Experience

High school degree or equivalent required; Six months to one-year related experience and/or training required in area of cash handling or customer service.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Requires ability to communicate effectively and clearly (both written and verbally): Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.


Mathematical Skills

Requires ability to perform basic mathematical calculations: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with an ability to quickly learn other bank related programs

The position requires the employee to occasionally or regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 pounds, as required by the essential functions of the position. The position requires the use of hands and fingers for operating and maintaining desktop and laptop computer equipment, keyboards, and related technology.


Salary: 

  • $16.00 hour
  • $500 bonus after 6 months of employment at INB

The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
