ABOUT
The Part-Time Laboratory Assistant, Biology is a part-time position responsible to the Life Sciences Department Chair.
*This is a part-time position and can work up to 18 hours per week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
  • Setting up and taking down equipment/handouts needed for classes.
  • Cleaning and storing of equipment.
  • Inventorying of materials and equipment.
  • Helping in the recovery of waste for disposal.
  • Documenting amounts and types of waste recovered.
  • Work as a team with professional and peer tutors to help and support each other.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Report problems to the Department Chair.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Follow all policies and procedures established by the Center for Anatomy & Physiology Resource Room.

Part-time employees are required to participate in the part-time retirement fund. The retirement fund is invested in a group fixed annuity contract with Ohio National Life Insurance Company. The plan will provide you and your beneficiary with fully vested cash settlement or income benefits after termination of employment for any reason.
