Part-time Opportunity: 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. | Friday & Saturday

We are currently seeking an experienced Cook who enjoys preparing high-quality meals and working as part of a team. In this role, you will help create nutritious and delicious meals for our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to cycle menus, production guides, and standardized recipes
  • Cook in large quantities while maintaining food quality and presentation
  • Ensure meals meet nutrition and portion standards
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and properly clean equipment after use
  • Label, date, and rotate food items according to policy
  • Assist with inventory and preparation for upcoming meals
  • Support food preparation and service for special events as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the dining services team to meet meal schedules

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or institutional kitchen preferred
  • Ability to cook from scratch and follow standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 90 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment and temperature changes (refrigerators/freezers)
