Job description

Our Washington, DC office, located a few blocks from the National Mall, is seeking highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented candidates for a part-time fall internship within our Research & Insights division. As an intern in our office, you will have the opportunity to work gain hands-on experience working alongside our teams of dedicated and talented communications professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

While intern tasks vary, a typical workload consists of short- and long-term research projects, including assisting with qualitative research such as focus groups and in-depth interviews, quantitative research such as online surveys, as well as digital research projects and social media listening. The intern is also tasked with keeping up to date on current public polling trends and topics, including writing a weekly polling newsletter that is sent throughout the firm, and assisting with public opinion PowerPoint decks that are published on the FGS Global website. In addition, the intern provides general assistance and note-taking on research projects as needed to the Insights team.ย 

REQUIREMENTS

  • An in-progress BA/BS in a related field, with a preference for third and fourth year students
  • Ability to devote 2-3 full office days to the internship
  • Research experience not required, but preferred
  • Strong analytic, writing, attention to detail and editing skills are requiredย 
  • Problem-solver and strong communicatorย 
  • A demonstrated capacity for communication, teamwork and collegiality within a tight-knit team
