We are seeking applicants for a Graduate Research Assistant to support a SSHRC-funded research project examining the hidden social, emotional, occupational, and mental health consequences of resilience among immigrant workers across three Canadian provinces. The Research Assistant will serve as the Project Coordinator to support the overall coordination and administration of the project and work closely with the Principal Investigator and collaborating institutions. The project is led by Dr. Charles Gyan at the School of Social Work, McGill University and involves interdisciplinary and interprovincial collaboration focused on immigrant labour experiences, workplace inequities, and social justice.
Requirements
Must be a current McGill University graduate student.
Fluency in both English and French
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Familiarity with qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research
Ability to commit to 10-12 hours of work per week.
Desirable Qualities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative on new tasks and challenges.
Strong writing and editing skills.

Nous recherchons des candidates pour un poste d'auxiliaire de recherche aux cycles superieurs afin de soutenir un projet de recherche finance par le CRSH portant sur les consequences sociales, emotionnelles, professionnelles et psychologiques cachees de la resilience chez les travailleurs immigrants dans trois provinces canadiennes.
L'auxiliaire de recherche agira a titre de coordonnateur (trice) du projet afin de soutenir la coordination generale et l'administration du projet, tout en travaillant en etroite collaboration avec le chercheur principal et les institutions partenaires. Le projet est dirige par le Dr Charles Gyan a l'Ecole de travail social de McGill University et repose sur une collaboration interdisciplinaire et interprovinciale axee sur les experiences des travailleurs immigrants, les inegalites en milieu de travail et la justice sociale.
Exigences
- Etre actuellement inscrite comme etudiante aux cycles superieurs a l'Universite McGill.
- Bilingue (anglais et francais)
- Capacite a travailler de maniere autonome et collaborative.
- Connaissance des methodes de recherche qualitatives, quantitatives ou mixtes.
- Capacite a consacrer entre 10 et 12 heures de travail par semaine au projet.
