JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Viticulture Research and Extension Lab is seeking motivated person(s) to assist members of the viticulture research and extension team in several extension and research activities in support of the Pennsylvania grape and wine industry. This opportunity offers experience in multiple aspects of grape production and development of deliverables that will be used for Extension meetings and industry/academic conferences.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • provide educational resources, programs, and assistance for extension specialists that benefit the wine and grape industry stakeholders
  • develop or update publications, fact sheets, websites, and/or presentations for use by extension specialists or clientele
  • conduct and report research to support the viticulture extension program
  • coordinate research and extension activities related to specific projects that the address the Pennsylvania grape and wine industry needs.

This position will be primarily based at the University Park Campus but occasional travel to commercial vineyards and/or Extension programming locations across Pennsylvania is expected.

This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
