Job description

This posting is for SirsiDynix, Harris company. It is a part-time fully remote position in the US or Canada.

The Salesforce & CPQ Analyst (Part-Time) is responsible for supporting the administration, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of the Salesforce platform and Salesforce CPQ environment. This role focuses on maintaining system health, improving sales processes, and ensuring accurate configuration of products, pricing, and quoting capabilities.

The analyst collaborates with Sales, Product, and Operations teams to support pricing strategies, improve system usability, and ensure data integrity-while also helping modernize and document legacy configurations.

Key Responsibilities1. Salesforce Administration & Optimization
  • Support day-to-day Salesforce administration, including:
    • Objects, fields, reports, dashboards, and permissions (Lightning Experience)
  • Review Salesforce seasonal releases and help lead targeted modernization efforts (e.g., Workflow-to-Flow migrations)
  • Assist in driving adoption of Salesforce Lightning Experience and new platform capabilities
2. Salesforce Org Health & Governance
  • Support Salesforce org health initiatives, including:
    • Cleanup of unused fields, objects, reports, and dashboards
    • Periodic reviews of access controls and user permissions
    • Monitoring data storage, backups, and sandbox environments
  • Help ensure system performance, scalability, and data integrity
3. Salesforce CPQ Administration
  • Provide administrative support for Salesforce CPQ, including:
    • Product catalog and configurations
    • Price books and pricing structures
    • Bundles and configuration rules
    • Pricing rules and automation
    • Quote templates and document generation
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Managers to ensure accurate pricing and packaging
4. Pricing & CPQ Enhancements
  • Assist with:
    • Pricing updates and maintenance
    • CPQ enhancements and feature improvements
    • Testing and validation of pricing changes
  • Troubleshoot CPQ-related issues and support resolution efforts
5. System Enhancements & Migrations
  • Support Salesforce system changes and future platform migrations, including:
    • Planning and coordination
    • Testing and validation
    • Data integrity checks
    • Documentation of updates and changes
6. Documentation & Knowledge Management
  • Help preserve and document institutional knowledge related to Salesforce and CPQ configurations, including:
    • Legacy setups and workflows
    • Complex product and pricing structures
  • Maintain system documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices
7. User Support & Training
  • Provide guidance, training, and best-practice recommendations to Salesforce and CPQ users
  • Support end-users with troubleshooting, issue resolution, and process improvement
Core Duties
  • Maintain and enhance Salesforce and CPQ configurations
  • Execute system updates, testing, and release activities
  • Monitor and improve system data quality and performance
  • Support product, pricing, and quoting processes
  • Document system architecture, workflows, and pricing logic
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align Salesforce capabilities with business needs
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives across the Salesforce ecosystem
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Salesforce administration experience, including:
    • Lightning configuration (objects, fields, reports, dashboards, permissions)
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CPQ, including:
    • Products, price books, bundles, pricing rules, and quote templates
  • Experience supporting Salesforce enhancements, releases, and migrations (e.g., Workflow-to-Flow transitions, feature adoption)
  • Understanding of Salesforce org health best practices:
    • Data cleanup
    • Security and access reviews
    • Sandbox and environment management
  • Strong analytical, testing, and troubleshooting skills with a focus on:
    • Data integrity
    • System reliability and performance
  • Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Experience with:
    • Salesforce CPQ advanced features
    • Flow and automation tools
  • Background supporting:
    • SaaS or subscription-based businesses
    • Complex pricing models and product structures
