Part Time District/Charter Coach

Location:  Remote - Flexible within the United States

Achievement Network (ANet) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping all students achieve strong educational outcomes. We partner with school and system leaders to strengthen teaching and learning through the strategic use of assessments, coaching, and tools that drive meaningful results. Individuals who join ANet become part of a dynamic, mission-driven, and collaborative organization focused on making a lasting impact in schools. We are committed to supporting one another and growing together as a team. This is a part-time role, with an anticipated workload of approximately 10–15 hours per week.

OPPORTUNITYThe Director of Partnership Experience & Impact coaches district leaders through a structured process to evaluate and strengthen their assessment systems, in collaboration with ANet and partner organizations. Reporting to a Managing Director, this leader drives breakthrough results through coaching, builds strong partner relationships, and ensures districts experience ANet as a trusted advisor committed to equity and continuous improvement.

TRAVEL

~2 times annually for cross-district convenings 

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach and Partner with Leaders
  • Provide direct coaching to district leaders to help them evaluate and strengthen their assessment systems in service of student learning.
  • Guide district teams through a structured process to inventory current assessments, reduce volume, clarify purpose and use, and identify where change may be needed.
  • Build trusting relationships that position the coach and ANet as valued thought partners throughout the engagement.

Drive Project Success

  • Support districts in moving from analysis to clear, actionable decisions about their assessment systems.
  • Help district teams weigh evidence and tradeoffs so that decisions are well-informed and sustainable.
  • Contribute district-level insights and outcomes that demonstrate the value and impact of the work.

Contribute to Coherent and Impact Focused Support

  • Collaborate with project colleagues to ensure a consistent, high-quality coaching experience across participating districts.
  • Share observations, lessons learned, and effective practices to help strengthen the overall approach and tools used in the project.
  • Keep a focus on instructional relevance and student impact throughout all coaching conversations and decisions.

    • Meets structured documentation requirements (agendas, meeting summaries, transcripts) on tight turnaround, supporting a grant-funded project's learning agenda.
    • Centers goals, monitors progress, and adapts strategies to ensure results.
  • Management: 
    • Coaches and develops leaders, fostering community-centered leadership and accountability.
    • Collaborates closely with cross-organizational coaching teams within ANet and across partner organizations.
  • Critical Thinking & Data Orientation: Uses evidence and insights to inform strategies, guide decisions, and anticipate partner needs.
  • Change Management: Supports systems in decision-making that leads to measurable outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred
  • Experience in and knowledge of K-12 Math and ELA assessment landscape.
  • Content-specific expertise in one or both of the following: assessment strategy or data literacy.
  • Proven track record coaching and developing system leaders to achieve student learning gains.
  • Experience supporting leaders in using data and HQIM for equitable instructional improvement.
  • Ability to build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with partners.
  • Familiarity with system-level leadership structures and decision-making processes.
COMPENSATION

The pay rate for this position is $73.02 per hour. In order to uphold our commitment to transparent, equitable, competitive, and sustainable compensation, ANet does not negotiate pay.
