Future Opportunity: Legal Claims Negotiator (Michigan-Based)
Location: Michigan (Remote/Hybrid as business needs require)
Position Type: Future Opportunity / Talent Pipeline
Training: Paid Training Provided
Compensation: $22.00-$25.00/hour (based on experience and client needs; may vary by future assignment)
About This Opportunity
We are proactively building a pipeline of legal talent for anticipated future opportunities supporting product liability claims and related legal matters. While an immediate opening may not currently be available, we regularly hire for these positions as business needs evolve throughout the year.
This role offers the opportunity to develop experience in legal research, claims resolution, negotiation, and case management in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position is largely remote, and comprehensive paid training is provided.
We welcome interest from:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) graduates
  • Law students who have completed at least one year of law school and are enrolled in an evening or part-time program that accommodates full-time work
  • Legal professionals seeking experience in claims resolution, negotiation, and dispute management
  • Individuals studying for the bar exam after work
Candidates with experience or interest in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), mediation, negotiation, or settlement work are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Required:
  • JD degree or completion of at least one year of law school with enrollment in an evening/part-time program allowing full-time employment
  • Must be based in Michigan
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
  • Experience in ADR, mediation, negotiation, claims resolution, or settlement work
  • Prior legal internship, clerkship, paralegal, or legal support experience
  • Interest in product liability, dispute resolution, or commercial litigation
  • Experience with legal research and demonstrated profiency handling a large file volume (75+ files at a given time)
