Job Overview

Georgia Families in Transition is looking for individuals to join our Assessment Team!

Theย IFI Program Biopsychosocial Assessorย plays a crucial role in evaluating and assessing the biopsychosocial needs of individuals, particularly children and families, within the framework of the IFI program. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can conduct thorough assessments, provide clinical insights, and develop tailored intervention strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities.

The Assessor position is focused on conducting initial biopsychosocial assessments for clients seeking to receive IFI (Medicaid) services in the community. This role requires familiarity with or strong passion to learn the following:

  • Biopsychosocial Assessments
  • CANS/ANSA
  • Safety Planning
  • CSSRS (Columbia Suicide Scale)
  • Treatment Planning
  • Vanderbilt ADHD Scale (as applicable with clients receiving a provisional or verified ADHD diagnosis)
  • PHQ-9/A

General Expectations

  • Within 72 hours of assessment, all components of the assessment package must be submitted
  • Requested corrections must be submitted within 24 hours of request
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Timeliness and accuracy in documentation submission

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Masterโ€™s degree in a psychology/social work-related discipline
  • Experience with IFI program assessment required
  • Fully licensed LPC, LCSW, LMFT required
  • An active CAQH profile is requiredย , particularly if completing assessments forย EAP clientsย in addition toย CMOย referrals
  • Applicantsย must be available weekdays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PMย and beย flexible to see clients on weekendsย as needed.
  • Must be willing and prepared to completeย five (5) or more assessments per week, depending on availability and assignment.
  • Past experience with Notenetic preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to pass DBHDD background check (required prior to providing any services to clients)
  • State-mandated training: Relias, CPR/First Aid, CPI, CANS/ANSA (must be completed within the first 30 days of hire)
  • Analytical/detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/CMO compliance requirements preferred
  • Demonstrable knowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis criteria
  • Willingness to learn new documentation and clinical skills
  • Receptivity to feedback/constructive criticism

Individuals who are prompt in communication, have collaborative personalities, and demonstrate a passion and clinical and compliance knowledge for assessment will be considered.

Pay scale is based on education, licensure level, clinical writing skills, and experience.

*Must live in the Atlanta area to be considered. Work is nearly always remote, but occasional face-to-face appointments may be needed based on client needs.
*Part-time - with potential transition to Full-Time
