Part Time Remote Construction information

What is a part time remote construction job?

A part time remote construction job involves working in the construction industry while performing your duties from a location outside the actual job site, typically from home. These roles often include project management, administrative support, drafting, estimating, and other tasks that can be completed using digital tools and communication platforms. Part time remote construction jobs offer flexible hours and may cater to professionals who have expertise in construction but require a more adaptable schedule. They are ideal for individuals looking to balance other commitments while contributing to construction projects. This type of work relies heavily on technology and effective communication to coordinate with onsite teams.

How do part time remote construction professionals typically collaborate with on-site teams to ensure project progress?

Part-time remote construction professionals often use digital tools like video conferencing, project management software, and shared documents to stay connected with on-site teams. Regular virtual meetings and clear documentation help ensure everyone is aligned on project milestones and any changes. While working off-site can present challenges in communication and real-time problem-solving, establishing reliable communication channels and maintaining proactive updates are key to successful collaboration. This remote setup allows flexibility but requires strong organizational skills and a high level of self-motivation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time remote construction professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Remote Construction professional, you generally need a background in construction management, project coordination, or a related field, along with practical experience on construction projects. Familiarity with project management software, digital blueprint tools, and virtual collaboration platforms is commonly required. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills help you coordinate teams and manage tasks effectively from a distance. These skills are crucial for ensuring projects stay on track, meet quality standards, and comply with safety regulations despite the remote nature of the work.

Job description

Senior Interior Designer / Design Lead

About Moralia

Moralia is a Canadian luxury millwork and interior design brand. We design and manufacture refined kitchens, closets, wall systems, and architectural interiors for discerning clients who value precision, refinement, and timeless design - across both residential and commercial environments.

Our work sits at the intersection of design intelligence, engineering discipline, and craftsmanship. We collaborate closely with architects, builders, and private clients on projects that demand clarity, confidence, and exceptional execution.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join Moralia in a senior, client-facing capacity.

This role is suited to a designer who is equally comfortable shaping design vision, understanding how millwork is constructed, and leading projects and client relationships with confidence and professionalism.

You will work closely with Moralia's leadership team to design, develop, and manage high-end projects - from early concept through execution - while representing the brand with discernment and authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design refined, contemporary interior and millwork-driven spaces in collaboration with Moralia's leadership
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and design reviews with confidence and clarity
  • Manage client accounts and projects with a luxury-service mindset
  • Translate design intent into buildable solutions with a clear understanding of millwork construction
  • Conduct on-site measurements and site coordination as required
  • Oversee projects across multiple regions, including North America, the Caribbean, and Europe
  • Develop high-quality visual presentations and renders that communicate design intent clearly
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure alignment between design and execution
  • Maintain strong knowledge of contemporary and modern interior design, materials, and detailing
  • Integrate lighting considerations into both residential and commercial design work

Experience

  • 8-15+ years of professional interior design experience, with a strong focus on high-end residential and/or commercial projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading client relationships and managing projects from concept through execution
  • Proven ability to design with a clear understanding of how millwork is constructed, detailed, and executed
  • Experience working in design-led, boutique, or luxury-focused environments

What We're Looking For

This role is suited to an experienced designer who takes ownership of their work and is comfortable being relied upon as a knowledgeable resource within the team.

You should bring:

  • Proven experience in luxury residential and/or commercial interior design
  • A strong understanding of custom millwork construction and detailing
  • Experience in luxury sales and account management, with comfort leading client relationships
  • Excellent design judgment rooted in contemporary and modern aesthetics
  • Solid knowledge of lighting design and integration
  • The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and self-direct
  • Confidence working in both studio and remote environments
  • A valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel
  • Passion for design, innovation, and continuous refinement

Technical Skills

  • AutoCAD - required
  • SketchUp - required
  • 3ds Max (or equivalent high-end rendering tools) - required
  • Ability to produce high-quality, presentation-ready renders
  • Mozaik experience is a strong asset (but not required)

Work Structure

  • Full-time or part-time opportunities available
  • In-office, hybrid, or remote arrangements considered for the right candidate
  • Travel required depending on project needs

Who This Role Is Not For

  • Designers without hands-on experience in high-end, detail-driven work
  • Candidates seeking heavy direction or tightly structured environments
  • Individuals uncomfortable with client leadership or accountability

Why Moralia

At Moralia, design reflects character.

We value clarity, discipline, professionalism, and pride in execution. You'll be joining a highly focused team where your work, judgment, and presence matter.

If you believe craftsmanship reflects character - and you want to contribute to a refined, excellence-driven brand - we would like to meet you.
