Part Time Remote Coaching information

What is part time remote coaching?

Part time remote coaching refers to providing guidance, mentorship, or training to clients or teams over the internet, typically for a limited number of hours per week. Coaches in this role work remotely, using video calls, phone calls, or online messaging platforms to connect with clients. This flexible arrangement allows coaches to balance other commitments while helping clients achieve personal or professional goals from any location.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time remote coach?

To thrive as a Part Time Remote Coach, you need expertise in your coaching niche, strong interpersonal skills, and relevant certifications such as ICF or similar credentials. Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom), online scheduling tools, and client management systems is typically required. Exceptional listening, empathy, and motivational skills help build trust and foster client growth in a remote environment. These skills and qualities ensure effective coaching relationships, client satisfaction, and consistent performance despite the challenges of remote communication.

What are some common challenges faced by part time remote coaches, and how can they be effectively managed?

Part-time remote coaches often face challenges such as maintaining consistent communication with clients, managing time zones, and building rapport without in-person interaction. To overcome these, it's important to establish clear communication channels, set regular check-in schedules, and use video calls to create a more personal connection. Leveraging digital tools for scheduling, feedback, and progress tracking can also streamline the coaching process and help foster a productive coaching relationship.

Scrum Master
The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about helping technical teams turn complex mission requirements into delivered software capabilities? Do you thrive at the intersection of software engineering, Agile delivery, and client engagement? We're looking for an experienced technical project manager and Scrum Master who can bring structure, transparency, and momentum to a fast-paced software development environment. You'll facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while ensuring those activities drive meaningful outcomes rather than simply satisfying process requirements. You'll partner with technical leads and product owners to maintain actionable backlogs, establish realistic delivery plans, track commitments, and continuously improve how the team plans and delivers software.
As a senior Scrum Master, you'll work alongside software engineers, technical leads, product owners, and government stakeholders to manage the delivery of mission-focused software capabilities throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll help the team translate priorities into executable work, establish and maintain delivery cadence, identify dependencies and risks, remove blockers, and ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of progress, challenges, and upcoming decisions. As a senior member of the team, you'll help establish delivery processes and Agile practices that fit the mission rather than applying a one-size-fits-all methodology. You'll coach team members on effective Agile practices, promote accountability and collaboration, and continuously identify opportunities to improve team effectiveness, predictability, and software delivery. Work with us as we deliver mission-focused technology that makes a difference.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience leading or coordinating software development teams through the software development lifecycle
  • Experience serving as a Scrum Master, delivery lead, or role supporting software engineering teams
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Experience partnering with product owners and technical leads to develop, prioritize, and maintain software development backlogs and delivery plans
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, tracking, and managing project risks, issues, dependencies, blockers, and opportunities through resolution
  • Experience coordinating dependencies and delivery activities across software engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and product teams
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence to manage software development activities, documentation, backlogs, sprint execution, risks, dependencies, and reporting
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business field and 7+ years of experience supporting Agile software delivery, or software development programs or 11+ years of experience supporting Agile software delivery, or software development programs in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or other federal government software development programs
  • Experience supporting software delivery in classified or highly regulated environments
  • Experience managing multiple development teams, workstreams, or interconnected software capabilities
  • Experience with DevSecOps environments, CI/CD concepts, cloud-based software delivery, or modern software engineering practices
  • Experience supporting technical roadmap development, release planning, or capability-based planning
  • Experience developing or implementing Agile delivery metrics, dashboards, or measures of team predictability and performance
  • Experience working directly with senior government leaders and translating technical delivery information into executive-level communications
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equivalent Agile certification, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, or other relevant SAFe certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
