A part time remote clinical supervisor is a licensed professional who oversees and mentors clinicians or interns, typically in mental health or counseling fields, while working remotely and on a part-time basis. This role involves providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure ethical and effective client care, as well as helping supervisees meet licensing requirements. Remote supervision often utilizes video calls, secure messaging, and digital documentation to facilitate communication and supervision sessions. Part time positions may vary in hours and can offer flexibility for both the supervisor and supervisees.

How do part time remote clinical supervisors typically support their supervisees and maintain effective communication in a virtual setting?

Part-time remote clinical supervisors often use a combination of scheduled video calls, secure messaging, and shared digital documentation to support supervisees. They provide regular feedback on case notes, discuss challenging client situations, and ensure that supervisees adhere to ethical and legal standards. Building rapport and trust remotely can be a challenge, so supervisors prioritize clear communication, set expectations early, and make themselves available for urgent consultations. At Daybreak Health, we're building a world where every young person has access to the mental health support they need to thrive. As a clinical supervisor on our team, you'll be part of a dedicated, compassionate community of therapists — guiding the next generation of clinicians while continuing to make a direct impact on students' lives. We value flexibility, efficiency, and collaboration, allowing you to focus on what matters most: developing strong clinicians and supporting student success. If you're looking for meaningful work, a supportive team, and the opportunity to lead, we'd love to have you join us!

About the Role: Remote LPC Clinical Supervisor (Virginia)

We are looking for LPC-credentialed clinical supervisors to oversee Residents in Counseling providing teletherapy services to students across Virginia. As a Remote Clinical Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality, ethical, and effective care while mentoring residents and collaborating with schools, caregivers, and community partners.

License Requirement: Fully licensed LPC with active approval from the Virginia Board of Counseling to supervise Residents in Counseling.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct regular individual and/or group supervision sessions with Residents in Counseling, per Virginia Board of Counseling requirements.
  • Review and sign off on residents' clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments.
  • Guide case conceptualization and support sound clinical decision-making on complex or high-risk cases.
  • Track and document supervision hours in accordance with Virginia licensure requirements.
  • Provide real-time consultation and support for crisis or risk situations as they arise.
  • Collaborate with school counselors and district partners to ensure continuity of care for students.
  • Lead case consultations and training sessions to strengthen residents' clinical skills.
  • Give ongoing feedback on residents' performance, including input toward licensure readiness.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Daybreak Health's clinical supervision practices and training curriculum.

Why Join Us?

  • Receive competitive pay ($70–$120/hour) for supervision, with guaranteed compensation for cancellations and no-shows.
  • Work remotely with flexible scheduling.
  • Join a supportive team with ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Be part of a mission-driven organization making a difference in students' lives.
  • Play a direct role in shaping the next generation of licensed clinicians in Virginia.
