Job description

Cortica is looking for a fully remote, part time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join its growing multi-disciplinary team!
*Please note that a current and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Arizona is required for this position*

We are a rapidly growing healthcare company pioneering the most effective treatment methods for children with neurodevelopmental differences. Our mission is to design and deliver life-changing care – one child, one family, one community at a time. Ultimately, we envision a world that cultivates the full potential of every child. At Cortica, every team member is instrumental in helping us achieve our mission!

First and foremost, this role is about being an extraordinary clinician. Compassion for this unique population and a dedication to upholding the highest standard of clinical care is essential.

This role provides clinicians with the opportunity to work with leaders in the field of child development and to broaden their clinical knowledge across disciplines through collaboration with master practitioners across neurological, sensorimotor, communication, and behavior therapies.

What will you do?

  • Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, and/or their siblings).
  • Utilize therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety of disciplines and are tailored to the needs of the client. This may include Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, and others.
  • Attend to relational ethics, while collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary team and the families we serve. Actively engage other team members to ensure wrap-around support for the family and sharing of information and ideas.
  • Participate in family care meetings with other providers.
  • Comply with clinic policies and all state, federal, and licensing board laws/requirements/regulations by fostering practices that adhere to the standards of care and ethical guidelines, including confidentiality and mandated reporting.
  • Adhere to – and support other team members' adherence to – organizational standards and policies.
  • Maintain documentation and communication in line with legal, ethical, and company standards.
  • Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You possess a master's degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
  • You hold a current and unrestricted license and/or certification that is required to practice within your clinical domain and obtain cross-state licensure in new states as indicated by the current business needs.
  • You are well-grounded in and knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including, but not limited to, cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.
  • You have a commitment to providing exceptional client care and using client feedback to improve care.
  • You are open minded desire to learn from other professional disciplines and knowledge bases as well as local knowledge of colleagues and families we serve.
  • You have 1 year or more of experience working with children or families with developmental differences.

Your Compensation & Benefits

Cortica cares deeply about the well-being of each member of our team, and we have created a passionate, caring, and growth-minded culture that helps teammates thrive! As a Cortica teammate, we'll support your well-being through a 401(k) plan with company matching and rapid vesting, paid holidays, sick time, professional development, and referral bonuses. We value you and the experience you bring to your role, and are proud to provide you with a compensation and benefits package designed to enhance all aspects of your life.

The base pay range for this opening is $47/hr to $59/hr. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
