Job description

Segal McCambridge, a respected national litigation firm, is seeking an experienced attorney to join our team as a Part-Time Deposition Coverage Attorney (Of Counsel). This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work with a nationally recognized toxic tort practice while maintaining a flexible schedule.
The attorney will be primarily responsible for covering asbestos and silica depositions on behalf of firm clients and preparing comprehensive deposition reports. Additional court appearances, hearings, and litigation support assignments may be available based on experience, jurisdiction, and business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Attend and defend asbestos and silica depositions on behalf of firm clients
  • Conduct witness examinations as appropriate
  • Prepare clear, concise, and timely deposition summaries and reports
  • Analyze testimony and identify key liability, causation, and damages issues
  • Coordinate with case teams regarding deposition strategy and follow-up recommendations
  • Cover other litigation appearances, hearings, or related assignments as needed

Qualifications
  • Active license to practice law in at least one of the following jurisdictions:
    • California
    • Illinois
    • Missouri
    • New York
    • Pennsylvania
  • Prior deposition experience required
  • Experience handling asbestos, silica, toxic tort, product liability, or other complex civil litigation matters preferred
  • Defense-side deposition experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
  • Professional, client-focused demeanor and attention to detail
