Job description

Classification & Reporting Status

• Non-Exempt

• Reports to the Plant Manager

• This position will work alongside the current planning/scheduling and dispatching personnels to accomplish the following:

Independent Judgement and Discretion:

  • Be the main contact for all departments for coordination of all production activities. Works with the engineering, production, and erection departments to establish flow of work that best satisfies Coreslab Structures needs while maintaining the customer's needs.
  • Is responsible for providing an overall master schedule that depicts flow of all production and field activities. This schedule shall be used by the company for scheduling future projects and bidding purposes.
  • Will attend all preproduction meetings with the Sales, Production and D & E departments to review the project and flag any unusual conditions.
  • Will provide three week look-ahead schedules and daily production packets for actual production of the components.
  • Will maintain the proper level of standard consumables of production materials. This shall include sand, rock, bearing pads, rebar and special-order materials.
  • Will be responsible for monthly and end of year inventory reports.
  • Will provide monthly strand projections for future planning purposes.
  • Shall contribute to team effort of maintaining interdepartmental communication by coordinating production activities with loading, hauling, erection and finishing personnel to ensure the efficient flow of activities, enabling the company to achieve successful completion of the projects.
  • Shall maintain a team effort by fostering a spirit of cooperation and maintaining good inter and intradepartmental communications.
  • Shall keep a log of all communications between the customer, erector and hauling that will influence the success of the projects

  • Will work under different work environments in and out in the plant, visit job sites if required

  • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Maintain contact with drivers to relay pickup/delivery details roadside issues

  • Work with Coreslab field representatives and erectors to foster smooth daily delivery of trucks

  • Create and maintain records of shipments, update logs and process invoices or rate confirmation

  • Coordinate freight movement, schedules routes and act as the main communication link between truck driver’s shippers and customers

Professional Responsibilities

• Manages multiple projects through various stages of completion.

• Daily responsibility of ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Has authority and responsibility to suggest, recommend and implement any possible improvements in the production priorities.

• Keeps internal and external customers informed on activities that impact performance and success of all active jobs and signed contracts

Background Requirements:

Production and Manufacturing Process knowledge, Construction Experience, Capable of understanding plans, Material and Planning Requirement, Inventory Control

Position can become a full-time position in the planning and scheduling and or dispatcher.

NOTE: This position also performs all other duties as required by management. During busy periods, Coreslab may require employees to work extended hours. Overtime is considered a condition of employment at the time of need. Refusal to accept it when reasonable notice has been given is cause for disciplinary action including termination.
