Job description

Key responsibilities
  • Drive and operate a lavatory truck to service aircraft lavatories
  • Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements
  • Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, including security searches
  • Use personal protective equipment, including a face shield & hearing protection
  • Direct lift truck movement and positioning in the airport
  • Comprehend and execute defined safe universal precaution control procedures concerning handling blood borne pathogens and other hazardous waste.
  • Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and minimum requirements
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver's license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
  • Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
  • Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
  • Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
