Job description

ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for part-time instructors for the Radiologic Technology program. Part-time instructors are hired on an as-needed basis. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as part-time teaching assignments become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Part-time/adjunct faculty in the Radiologic Technology program are responsible for teaching students radiographic positioning in the energized lab and/or didactic lectures in the classroom. They support the assessment of student learning and report student progress as required to the program coordinator and/or faculty.
QUALIFICATIONS
Credentialed in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with current registration in radiography.
2. Licensed/eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois within six (6) months.
3. Clinical practice in RT for a minimum of 1 year or equivalent professional experience. Clinical teaching experience preferred.
4. Meets the minimum instructor requirements for any course assignment.
5. Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and counseling skills. Knowledge in use of information technology.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Salary varies based on educational level and number of units taught.
